ShellSpeak Privacy Policy

ShellSpeak is a voice remote for the Claude Code CLI running on your own computer. It is designed to collect as little as possible and to keep everything local.

What we collect

• Voice transcriptions (text only, never audio)
• Timestamps and session identifiers
• Error messages, for local debugging

What we do NOT collect

• Voice audio — transcription happens on-device and audio is discarded immediately
• Personal information — there is no account or login
• Location data
• Analytics or third-party tracking

Where your data lives

Speech-to-text and text-to-speech run on your device using Apple’s frameworks. Commands and responses are exchanged only with the gateway running on your own computer, over your local network. Nothing is sent to NYRAI LLC or any third party.

Data retention

The gateway’s encrypted audit log is kept for 30 days and then auto-deleted. No backups are maintained. You can delete data at any time.

Your rights

• Export your data as JSON
• Delete your data at any time, permanently
• Disable recording in Settings
• Revoke microphone access in iOS Settings
